RIM has "given-up" on the consumer market and refocuses its efforts on the enterprise

The web is blowing up right now with the news that CEO of RIMs Q4 financial reports and moves by the new CEO to refocus the company’s efforts on their core strength, the enterprise market.

Google+, Twitter and the general web are all blowing up with this news.

I started with this article, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46897956/ns/business/ but there is so much news, commentary, blogs talking about this now, all you have to do is Bing! or Google search "RIM".

What does this mean for Trinidad and Tobago and all the other territories where the consumer market is still in love with BBs? and how long will it take for a transition to happen to other devices that are considered sexy?

I can’t help but wonder weather they’re throwing the towel too early? I guess we’ll see how the market adapts.
