Project ‘Q’ – Connecting my Digital Personae

Coming out of my considerations on how all this technology that I’m surrounded by actually impacts my life, I have been thinking a lot about the relationship between my various digital ‘Personae’. Many of us have several varying and usually disconnected representations of ourselves on various popular online social networking services such as Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, GoogleBuzz, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live and the list goes on and on. I have been actively working on what my position is with regard to connecting these identities and the possible resulting benefit of such action/security concerns.

These are some white board scribbles of my thoughts:

Project 'Q' Thoughts

I am trying to bring all these digital personae and services together to increase their coherence and usefulness. Also, see my “About” section on some thoughts close/related to this post.

Off the bat, this means a couple of things:
1. Centralizing Contact, Calendar, Event & Task information
2. Connecting (hopefully bi-directionally) services like Facebook & Twitter, LinkedIn & Twitter, GoogleBuzz & Twitter, etc.
3. Accessing all important services from my mobile device(s)
4. Synchronization of Information across my home network

… Hum, Can’t think of any others at the moment, I am open to suggestions though.

Wish me luck… I will try to keep you all informed on my findings.
